Beth Hunter suffered through four years of abuse at the hands of her husband, Randy.  Her best friend, Laura Wade, tries unsuccessfully to get Beth to leave him, but he threatens to kill Beth if she does.  After a night of drinking, he beats Beth so badly that she is hospitalized.  Beth meets a man, Pete Mortensen, who helps her through the nightmares of her past and the present terror of Randy's threats.  Randy threatens everyone closee to Beth hoping it will scare her into coming back to him.  Beth gets revenge that will either put her in prison or give her the happiness she finally deserves.


About the Author

Diana Etter-Laver was born and raised in Newton, IA. She has two grown children and three grandchildren, and plays an active role in their lives. She has been in the nursing profession for the last twenty-four years. Her love of writing goes back to her high school years working on the school newspaper and the yearbook team. She is working on a second novel, has written a book of poems, and created a booklet on the dangers of drugs for elementary school age children. Bethany is her debut novel.
