About the Book

The Reef In Her Living Room

The Reef In Her Living Room

Imagine finding yourself in the middle of your science project – literally! That’s exactly what happened to Morgan one night when she went to sleep in her own bed and found herself face to face with an ocean full of adventure. There was only one little problem. In order to get back home, Morgan had to avoid those who wanted her to fail, find her way to an elusive being, and pass a dangerous final test. If she failed, she would be trapped there forever, or worse!

About the Author

Mikki Barry is happiest doing 20 things at once. She is a lawyer, scuba instructor, underwater photographer, videographer, flight instructor, geek wannabe, consultant, author, entrepreneur, and of course the most difficult profession of all – Mom. She lives in Great Falls, Virginia with her husband Wes, one dog, two cats (one named Spot), three parrots and a young woman in the fifth grade named Morgan. She wrote this book show young people the rich environment we have underwater, and how it will take all of us to keep it alive. Mikki has a BS from Boston University, and a JD from Georgetown University. She is the author of various papers on Internet governance issues and occasionally finds herself mediating wars between domain name holders, as well as the far more challenging wars between Morgan and the dog. She hopes that the book will help Morgan in her ever-continuing quest to get her homework done on time.
