About the Book
Parents have abdicated their power and authority to children to get their children’s approval. They wrongly believe that they are building a child’s self-esteem by being doting, permissive and protective. Instead of promoting self-esteem they are promoting low frustration tolerance, selfishness, behavioral problems and deficits of attention. This book draws on years of practice wisdom as a parent, grandparent, clinician and teacher, as well as on behavioral science theory and the scriptures. Its theme urges parents to discipline as well as nurture children and combines old fashion parenting with modern thought.
