About the Author

Nancy Ellen Carver grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, next to Rosalie Tilles Park, named in memory of her great-great-grandmother. She has spent almost 20 years researching her family history. After the death of her great-aunt at the young age of 97, the author inherited a wealth of primary source material that she used to complete this book. Ms. Carver is a manager with the federal government in Washington, D.C.
