About the Book

With the camera I explore my deep-rooted connection with nature and art. I am drawn to elemental subjects animated by the energy of light and atmosphere. In the darkroom, negatives in hand, I relive the feelings initially inspired by my chosen subjects. I avail myself of any technique that will enable me to convey an intensified image effectively. My challenge is to transform what I have experienced at different times and places into metaphors that point beyond the appearance of the particular and invite the viewer’s imaginative interpretation.
