About the Author
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1932, Bob Gilmore grew up in Southern California. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 1954. He earned a masters degree in IT from USC, and a master of divinity from the American Baptist Seminary of the West. After moving to Newberg, Oregon, he taught Spanish and IT for 36 years at George Fox University. He is Faculty Emeritus there. Bob also was a missionary in Costa Rica and Guatemala from 1960 to 1964. He founded the Newberg Hispanic Friends Church, where with the help of Edwin and Cindy España, he served as a volunteer pastor for the first twelve years. He is the husband of Maurine Gilmore, father of four children, the grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and great grandfather of three great grandchildren. At age seventy-eight, he began writing poetry, and has continued to do so for the past seven years.
