About the Author

My name is Deanna and I have been drawing Dirty Turtles since my junior year in highschool back in 2005. Dirty Turtles brought me "out of my shell" growing up as the under dog it entertained the few that saw it and fasinated me to see where I could take it. Going to collage in 2006 the comic was introduced to a local collage as a weekly comic strip and that was my biggest accomplishment to date. I left my home in the North Country (Upstate NY) and joined the Army and left for basic training in Feb of 2010, where I was again an underdog and quiet to my suroundings I went back to drawing my comic and I had a few people enjoy it very much, brought a little entertainment to an unentertaining time. My fi rst duty station was in Schweinfurt Germany where I met some of the greatst people and saw some of the most amazing places in the world and it refl ects in some of the comic of one character going to Germany and going through the Frankfort airport. I loved every bit of my time there so thats why it and a small bit of the army is incorporated into the comic. People ive met that have changed my life or made it better are refl eced in the characters and I will always love them all for the infl uence on this story. More to come for this story and I hope it entertains you as much as it did me writing it. Thank you.
