About the Book

John’s Epistles are often overlooked. This author has seen the need to emphasize them and has brought us to the heart of John’s concerns with God’s children. Like all commentary, more could be written, but this author has brought the right measure to his work, and it will be spiritually productive. He has brought out very well the reality of the love of God in the Christian life, Unfortunately, in so much of today’s Christianity, assurance of salvation is nothing more than trusting one’s profession of faith, rather than the object of one’s faith! Elder Roberts’ discussion of assurance is to the point.

About the Author

Moody Roberts, married to Shirley Pierce Roberts. They have 4 grown daughters. Mr. Roberts graduated from Bob Jones University. His pastoral ministry has been a teaching ministry. He has been a Baptist pastor for 60 years. He has also been involved in Christian Education, having established 3 schools himself and a Bible Institute in cooperation with another pastor. He has himself taught in Kindergarten all the way through Bible College Level. He has preached in revival services and Bible Conferences up and down the East Coast. He has also conducted radio ministries in several towns. In the last few years he was also involved in internet ministry with his sermons being heard around the world. He has published 3 books before this one. They are The Amazing Companion (which is a book on the Holy Spirit), A Biblical Concept of Worship, and The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
