About the Book
"Halo My Dear Angel" is more than memoirs of my life with our "angel-in-residence" who gently moved into our hearts and home in 1994 after I experienced a double mastectomy and treatment for breast cancer. Yes, there is a beginning...an explanation of the way in which Angel John appeared to me, the messages and wisdom he shared with us. This is a journey that my husband, Jerry, and I have been taking for several years now; it is a journey which has awakened our sense of spirituality, purpose and compassion.
It is the story of how having breast cancer led us to being featured on the front cover of our local newspaper, Newsday, in which we shared our story with over one million readers on Long Island, New York. Months later we understood the reason for the article when Angel John came into our lives and ultimately led us to publishing our own books of angel messages because, as time went on, more and more people asked for them. When we did publish "Angel Messages from Above," people where we lived recognized us from the previous news article and were drawn to the messages and to what has turned into an Angelic Ministry.
It is also the story of other people who have touched our lives and whose lives have been gently affected by the presence of Angel John. These are people we never would have met if it were not for Angel John. Some people have had great losses in their lives...the death of their child. "Diamonds and Rubies...A Daughter´s Gift" is my experience with such a child and her family. Another story, "The Angel and the Cop," is lighthearted and filled with the miracles of God´s hand and is written by the young police officer who met his angel after receiving a written message in his book from Angel John.
A chapter may contain a story, an essay, or a memory. Each chapter speaks to our hearts and souls and is a reminder that God does exist and presents miracles to us every day. Each chapter is filled with truth, healing, hope, love, mystery and wonder. For some readers questions will be answered; for others, more questions will be posed, yet each will receive some "gift of understanding" as they travel through the pages of the book.
The last five chapters are contained in a section I have titled "Angelic Expressions." Each chapter is a short story which was included in different theme booklets created for our Angel Workshops. There is a story from the Angel of Loss, "The Songbird;" a story from the Angel of Thanksgiving, "Twofer;" a story from the Angel of Heart, "Dear Heart O´ Mine;" and finally, a story from the Angel of Miracles, "The Christmas Wish." In addition, there is a chapter on ways in which you can communicate with your own angels and guides.
Though these are stories of fiction, they contain truths that reach our souls. Each contains a lesson, a healing, a moral and hope. Angel John is filled with a joyful sense of spirit, and he expresses love, kindness, compassion and gentle understanding for all humanity. Best of all he has a very dry sense of humor. When I hear his words in my mind, or when I channel his energy through my voice, I am listening to him as a student would listen to a wise teacher. There are times when I find myself chuckling because his "wisdom" is so appropriate and simplistic that I wonder why I hadn´t seen it for myself. He many times uses a play on words to gently get his point across. Many times we have found that humor is the best medicine for a situation.
An example of this is reflected in my journal entry dated June 21, 1994.
"I was also told today...that I would be getting other stories to be shared with mankind. I also asked John if he could tell me when I would receive a message from God. His reply was: ´We do not know God´s schedule.´"
It´s true...none of us knows God´s schedule much less what might be in store for any of us on a given day. Yet, I believe, with all my heart, that this story of an "angel-in-
About the Author
Fran Lenzo has lived two lives: before Angel John and after Angel John. Before Angel John, she was a woman living a “normal” life helping her husband Jerry run their print shop. In 1992 Fran had a double mastectomy. In 1994, while going through past-life therapy, she met Angel John. “Do not be afraid,” he said. “My name is John. I am your Guardian Angel and your cancer is gone.” Changed spiritually, Fran channeled “Angel Messages From Above,“ and “Angel John’s Little Book,” books which have touched thousands. An ordained minister, Fran has a DD and Ph.D. in Metaphysics, a spiritual counseling practice, enjoys writing and creating angelic art. A member of the Society of Southwestern Authors, she and Jerry reside in Arizona with their Bichons, Fragee and Stetson.
