About the Book

My poetry writing spans more than three decades. It is largely based on some of my previous and present experiences echoing my way of seeing others and myself to some degree while crediting having been inspired by such precursors as the Hebrew Prophets, Solomon Ibon Gabirol, Heine, Shakespeare, Keath, Wordworth, Auden, Yehuda Amichar, Neruda, Paz and many dozen others. Writing poetry is my unique way of trying to engage readers in my journey to help open minds and to touch spirits with gratitude of lending to me even if briefly whether with praise or otherwise. My eagerness is primarily to attaract those readers who wish to celebrate life often unadored by romantic notions. But carrying with it the threads of the classics with which I am familiar since childhood.
