About the Book
Regina was born in Insterburg, East Prussia, which was part of Germany before 1945. A province near the Baltic Sea, where precious Amber washes up on the beach. Regina and her family became refugees in January 1945, just like fifteen million other refugees from the Eastern part of Germany; two millions people perished due to starvation, exhaustion and enemy fire. After 1945, one fourth of Germany's area was taken away and given to Russia, Poland and Czechoslovakia. We left everything behind when evacuated by force and ordered unto a train, just hours before the Russian Army marched into our hometown. Eight days on a horrible train that normally took only eight hours, the target of many bombers destination Berlin, Germany's Capital, where chaos reigned and unspeakable acts were done. Saw bombs dropping out of the sky and at that time swore, "I would find out what makes THEM tick." Caught behind the IRON CURTEN for years and finally received passage to West Germany where Regina was apprenticed into the retail business. . A broken heart that made her leave her beloved Homeland. Immigrated to Sweden as a housekeeper where no wars have been fought for centuries. With a revelation from the Lord in a Lutheran Church in Stockholm, Sweden her missions began; from there Regina was guided through thick and thin, to different parts of the world with unthinkable situations. A passage to the USA in 1957 as a domestic engineer and later on joined the US Air Force to finally find out what makes THEM tick. America, the land of milk and honey gave Regina needed recuperation from a horrible war. Married a military man, had two children, became a college student on the GI bill, a widow at forty and most of all suffered with mental illness. Regina was committed to several hospitals, even one for the criminally insane at Patton State Hospital, in Southern California. Married a widower in 1986 and with her new husband, Elvis Brock, found a true calling and now they are working for the Lord and that will be other MISSIONS to complete.
About the Author
Regina was born in East Prussia, a providence of Germany before 1945. She became a refugee with fifteen million others, where two million perished due to starvation, exhaustion and enemy fire, all of them came from the eastern parts of Germany. She lived behind the Iron Curtain until 1951. Left for Sweden after an apprentice ship in business near Hamburg, West Germany. As a governess and housekeeper, Regina served a wealthy family near Stockholm, Sweden. Immigrated to the USA in 1957, with two more years of working as a Domestic Engineer for two wealthy families In New Jersey, USA Joined the US Air Force and met her first husband and made a family of four. Became a widow at age forty. Lived in seven countries and seven states in the US. Suffered from mental illness for years, but Merced Jr. College saved her sanity and undue suffering. Married a widower and now the two are working for the Lord in Merced, CA.
