About the Book

     A high school graduate dreams of becoming a professional music producer is shattered after he is harassed and beaten unmercifully by crooked cops. He is arrested and thrown in jail, charged with assault and battery on a Leo. With a felony charge on his record the struggles in life increases as it becomes more difficult for him to land a nine to five job with decent pay. After experiencing racism and fired from numerous jobs he is forced into a life of crime. Soon he becomes one of South Florida’s most notorious drugs dealers who find’s himself in a constant battle with rival drug dealers, crooked cops and racism. As he embarks on his struggle he has an encounter with God who reveals to him purpose and destiny. Now he takes a stand against evil equip with his weapons of warfare spoken word poetry and rap music that he uses to set the people free from mental slavery and demonic influences. In the end spiritual redemption and poetry defines the struggles of a black poet.


About the Author

Biography Exodus Rodney is a devoted Christian brought up in a solid Christian home born in Brooklyn, New York, Crown Heights. He moved to South Florida in his teens and now holds an Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Metropolitan University. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in pre law at Florida Memorial University. Exodus is a recording artist and poet. His poems and raps is a reflection of his experiences. Through his words, he reflects the universal struggles of black people through out society. Presently, he ministers to youths along the strips of South Beach and conducts a prison ministry during the weekend. Originally a businessman at heart, he owned his own pool business for three years. Exodus is right at home using his saavy business sense for the entertainment industry. Exodus is constantly in and out of the recording studio whether recording a CD or collaborating with other artists. He is currently recording his third CD.
