About the Book
Sitting in the ruins of a Christmas mess Arlene cried out to God. There was no reason to go on living. She had raised her family, buried her husband, retired from her job and now there was nothing left to do. She had done it all and at age sixty-five there was no purpose in her life.
God does not ignore a prayer from the heart. The changes taking place were subtle but direct. A grandchild who needed a home, mission school and a newspaper article about orphans in Africa were just the beginning.
About the Author
Arlene D Brown is a woman of God who continues to be amazed at what God is doing with her life. Born in a small coal-mining town in Pennsylvania during the depression taught her a lot about living in poverty. She is the proud mother of five, grandmother of sixteen and great-grandmother of seven. She retired from GTE in 1993 and found retirement not to her liking. At age sixty-five she embarked on a new life. Her time in Zaire (Congo) Africa where she worked in mission in the refugee camps set the stage for the rest of her life. At present she is by the grace of God building an orphanage for children, victims of the genocide in Rwanda. This book and proceeds is dedicated to that orphanage.
