About the Book

I began writing letters to my identical twin grandsons, serving only to document the steps taken to obtain their legal custody. The memoirs became book length as the battles multiplied and the struggle proved to be the war of our lives.

This is not a ‘how to’ manual, only one story from one of millions of families living the reality today. It is a narrative of determination and subsequent actions taken to prohibit our grandsons from being added to the roll of increasing numbers of child abuse and neglect statistics,

The story is written as non-fiction, a first hand account of the heart wrenching experience of facing my own daughter in a courtroom; the suspense of taking her children, possible wrecking her military career, and virtually destroying her life as she knew it.

About the Author

This is the first book written of an ongoing story. Linda L. Cline lives with her husband of 35 years on a small acreage in the countryside of Oklahoma. The twin boys are currently in the 8th Grade attending school where grandpa occupies a seat on the school board. The author has been teaching school at a private career college for young adults in a neighboring town for the past 10 years. She is daily motivating and encouraging young adults to be independent and responsible for their own actions.
