About the Book

Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to write books. I enjoyed writing. However, I never entertained the thought of children’s books until recently. My career has always been working with children. I started babysitting at age 11. I had a daughter named Rhonda. I wanted to be with her all the time so my goal was to work on a job where I could be with my daughter, and a job working in child care was an idea. Up until August 29, 2013, I have worked in several child care facilities as well as for 7 years I worked in a family’s home and took care of their children. I worked for 8 years at a Christian school as a pre-k teacher. For the past 17 years, I worked at a hospital day care center. One of the things I started doing at these facilities was writing little stories about the children when we did segments called “All About Me”. I found this too be very enjoyable. Staff would ask me to make cards for the children and their parents. And when we took pictures of kids doing various activities, I would write little short phrases under pictures. The staff, kids, and especially the parents seemed to really enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. I started working professionally with children in 1973 until 2013.

About the Author

Ginger Duncanis a newly published author. Her first book, “Jayden’s Counting Walk “is now followed by her second book,"Jayden asks, Does she love me, Does she love me not"? After 40 years of working with children of all ages,Ginger has started a new career. The writing of childrens books. Born in Gainesville, Florida,her parents Joe and Della Duncan moved to Maryland where she was raised in a little town called Federalsburg. She now resides in Cambridge,Md.
