About the Book
My poems are an eclectic variety of my life activities since I was twenty years old. The poems include my experiences as a psychotherapist, an enthusiastic traveler, humor, experiences of loss, dreams, philosophical interests, love of nature, and the spiritual life. Some poems rhyme and others are written in free form. I studied with several notable poets, including Molly Peacock
About the Author
I was born in Staten Island, New York. My father worked in Wall Street and my mother was a homemaker. They had two sons, one who also worked in Wall Street. The majority of my education was in psychology and philosophy. The career I chose was as a psychotherapist. Since I was 20 years old until today I have been writing poetry and practicing therapy. My college was New York University and I studied there from l947 to l961, when I received my Ph.D. and had my thesis voted the best in the school. In addition to therapy, I conducted research experiments which were published in scientific journals.. At the same time, I continually wrote poems and studied with several notable poets. I recited my poetry and lectured on my research in the United States and in Europe. I married an artist and we had one son who is a partner in a New York law firm. I have twin granddaughters and a grandson.
