Presenting My Room

About the Book

I’m sure all of you remember the days when cleaning your room and dealing chores was a dreaded part of your daily routine, maybe it’s still is. As a child my mother was quite inventive in persuading my siblings and I to clean our room. I guess you can call her my personal Mary Poppins. She would make home videos, we would clean our rooms and she would videotape us presenting our rooms and our belongings. I remember telling the camera “this is where I sleep, there is where my doll sleep, this is where I keep my clothes” . This was not only a fun experience but a creative way of taking something ordinary and boring and bringing it to life. Children strive on playing which is their work. As a parent I wish to instill good habit and creative individuality in my children. I want them to use their imagination and let something such as a messy room be a good place and let their imagination carry them, (as long as the room gets clean).
