About the Book
When we retire we do not only move out of something old, but into something new. It is time for tasting a new kind of freedom we may not have experienced before, and a time to identify and choose options not available in our previous life-style. Occupational busyness has fenced us in and now quite suddenly, freedom calls. It is a time for wonderment, experimenting, reaching out and trying on new things for size. <>The author has been aging for ninety years, and if experience is really a good teacher he should have learned some things about the process. For fourteen years he has lived closely to a large number of older people at Lakes Manor. Before that he spent ten years living in another retirement community. These good people have taught him a lot about growing old, and have enabled him to throw some new light upon a very old subject.
