About the Book

The galaxy teetered on the brink of civil war; the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. This is a story of men of action, who battle to decide the future of civilization. Follow the exploits of Captain Armstrong, whose crew is about to mutiny because he canceled the Miss Known Galaxy Beauty Pageant. And his diplomatic mission to Tambora, a world so dangerous that any visitor who got lost at night might be harvested for his body organs. Finally, it is the story of the outcast who fought to control a world, an empire, and then the galaxy itself.

About the Author

The author lives in San Leandro, California, and is now retired from the Oakland Flight Service Station. In 2005, the Federal Aviation Administration (aided and abetted by George F. Bush and his Republican allies in Congress) privatized Flight Service, and sold the employees down the river. Subsequently, Lockheed Martin (the government contractor) made a complete mess of Flight Service, so now the author has lots of free time to write more novels. Photograph by George Fourchy.
