Butterflies Don’t Bark

When Butterfly and Dog decided they wanted to be in a book, they found Sue Loweree, who is a gardener near the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Sue also loves to paint, play music and write stories, so Butterfly and Dog chose her to write their story and paint their pictures. They wanted to show everyone how it feels to play with someone very different without having to be just like each other. With the design help of Sue’s daughter, Annie, Butterfly and Dog tell their story in this book for you.
About the Author
Sue Loweree enjoys regular visits to The Iowa Summer Writing Festival, is a graduate of Parson’s School of Design, Chesapeake College, The Institute of Children’s Literature and an SCBWI member. She lives in Easton, Maryland. Annie Williams graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia and is a graphic designer in Durango, Colorado.
