About the Book

Hurricane Andrew was an historic event for Miami, Florida that occurred in late August 1992. This story is based on experiences of those who sufferred through it. Some were courageous and honorable. Others sought only personal gain. The subject of this story is the conflict between these two extremes over the restoration of a seriously damaged residence. The conflict goes on at the site, in financial institutions, county government and the courthouse. A related sub-plot involves a hotel which housed many of those who came to take part in the restoration.
