About the Author

A 1957 graduate of SUNY Potsdam, Tom Anthony set out for a career in music education. After six years of penny paychecks, the urge to write music and get paid for it won out and he headed back to New York and the TV jingle business. After a few years of dues-paying, he became a major player in the industry, creating music and lyrics for hundreds of major advertisers. His company flourished throughout the heyday of advertising, creating signature songs for more than eighty-five-hundred major commercials. The studio walls are lined with Clio, Addy, CEBA, Big Apple, and Advertising Age awards. During those years of writing, the idea of branching out into other forms, particularly books, was always there. But it was not until after the death of his father that he knew it was time to sit down and start writing. The result is this wonderful collection of stories that leaves no question but that Vince Anthony was one of the most colorful and loveable characters ever to grace this earth, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of so many who's lives he touched.
