At age sixteen, Austin Matheson is hated and tormented mercilessly by everyone. He is at the lowest point of his life.

At age thirty, Austin has an adoring wife, a beautiful daughter and a flourishing career. He is at the highest point of his life.

Then…his wife and daughter are savagely murdered. For the next twenty years, Austin wanders through life, missing his family and his youth. He desperately wants to go back to a time when life was simple, when he felt no grief. But he forgets that in his youth he had grief, too.

But it’s too late. The winds of change had already begun to blow.

On the evening of his fiftieth birthday, Austin is taken back in time to 1976. He is sixteen again.

This time, Austin becomes the boy he always wanted to be—athletic, outspoken, fearless. This time, no one torments him.

But something is still missing…his wife isn’t by his side. She doesn’t even know him. He wants to return to her, but he’s afraid…afraid he will lose her all over again.
