About the Book

From England to Massachusetts, from Valley Forge to Gettysburg, from the American Revolution to the Korean War, follow the Burnham family´s American experience, spanning twelve generations, from 1635 to present day. Guided Footsteps encompasses the many lives and occupations of Burnhams through out major events in American history. The body of work encapsulates the lives of: Sea Captains, Lawyers, Doctors, Teachers, Farmers, State Representatives, Soldiers, Military Officers, Architect Daniel Burnham, and Lois Burnham Wilson, the co-founder of Al-Anon. Ms. Burnham incorporates years of research into a well-rounded view of the Burnham family’s American experience. She combines historical facts along with personal insights and descriptions of her travels to give the reader a window into her journey of discovery. About the Author

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Kirstin Burnham has lived in different regions of the United States and has traveled the world. She is a trained practitioner in the healing arts of Jin Shin Jyutsu and Reiki. She is a gourmet cook, photographer, and author. She enjoys sailing, traveling, and spending time at the mountains. As an amateur historian, she was able to unite two of her main interests of genealogy and writing by creating this book about her lineage.
