About the Book

This tragedy really happened to our family. On July of 1997, our son-in-law took his own life. At age 31, he left behind a wife and a daughter, Samantha Joe, age four. We found it very hard to understand why he committed suicide. There was no medical reason that caused his death. A self-inflected death leaves so many questions unanswered. A self-inflected death left no closure for our family. Our daughter and grand-daughter moved into our home, Sam’s sleep was severely affected. We took Sam to a well known doctor in our area. The doctor told us children grieve in different ways. The dreams Sam was experiencing were called “Night Terrors.” The doctor also added,” They will go away on their own.” We spent hours with Sam hoping she would talk about what she held so deeply inside. During our talks Sam shared her inner self with us. Sam talked of what she saw in her dreams and the anger she held deep in side caused by her dad abandonment. We read several articles on, “Healing of Lost Love.” Using pets to heal the elderly, could this work for Samantha? What you are about to read are Samantha’s memories.

About the Author
