About the Author

L ike the novel’s protagonist Sweet Kyra, author Onin Age-Iron is at once a poet, journalist, essayist, philosopher and ex-businessperson, who has dipped into “but not sunk into” big city politi cs. A hard-nosed Chicagoan Onin holds a Law Degree and writes out of “Lizard Lick” a one-acre oasis a hop away from the famous White Sands Nati onal Monument desert near Alamogordo, New Mexico. Onin says: “When I suff er writer’s block I wander about the huge, pure-white dunes and they make my tormenti ng blank page seem small by comparison. It works, and then I go back to work.”
