About the Book

The poems in this book are my reflection of life and how people individually and collectively handle the impact of life’s trials and tribulation. The poems in this book are about various stages of our everyday living, matter how rich or poor we are individually, regardless of our spiritual beliefs and our status in life. Some of the poems cross over to the culture of people no matter where they live or the color of their skin. My inspiration to write these poems is based on my life experiences, other people life experiences, countries and cities I have visited and people from different cultures, countries and cities that I’ve met throughout the years. I dedicate these poems to my readers, especially those who can relate to one, if not several of the poems as they read each one of them. These poems, like music, are universal words written in such a manner my readers will be able to relate to or reflect on their life experiences or someone they know who have had to endure life‘s trials and tribulations.

About the Author

I currently live in Gardena, California. I started writing poetry when I was in Junior High School. All of my poems are hand written and I have retained every copy in their original format. When I see what people go through in their individual and collective lives, I am inspired to write poems. I do not write poems every day. I only write when I am inspired to based on an experience, whether the experience is related to people, places, spiritual or hearing a particular phase, a song and sometimes just having a leisure conversation with some. After reading poetry by several poets, I would find myself trying to visualize a picture that can relate to the words they wrote; therefore I decided to include pictures to capture the words I express in my poems. My inspiration to publish my work came from several people. The reason why my book is titled “This Is My Story…..Theses Are My Psalms is because when my readers read one or more of my poems, I know the reader can relate to the words, therefore the poem or poems becomes the story of the reader’s relationship with his or her life or someone they know.
