About the Book
In his first professional baseball game ever, Sammy felt a twinge of pride as he stepped up to bat. You see, as he looked up in the stands behind the plate, he had twenty familiar faces cheering him on. Everyone who had supported Sammy and helped to make him feel special in Miss McDonald’s class was there to make him feel special again. He now knew what was possible with friendship and kindness. Any obstacle in life can be overcome if you have love and support. And that is just what Sammy felt as he swung the bat and knocked the ball over the left field fence.
