About the Book

De Andre Brian Phillips is African American mutant who grew up in a middle class home. De Andre’s father is dentist and his mother is nurse. He has three brothers Trey, Terrell and Terrence. De Andre is intelligent, determine and perseverance teenage boy. De Andre discovered his mutant ability by accident. He was invited to a pool party. A boy (Jason) jumped into pool. He splashed water on De Andre. De Andre froze the pool with the boy in it. Out of ignorance De Andre was ridiculed and attacked by boys. De Andre’s friends Gregory, Stephan and Hosea fought his assailants and defeated them. In the park De Andre activated his mutant powers transforming into his gear. He called himself Chill. He discovered. He has power of flight, superhuman strength, skin hard as ice, cold vision,arctic breath and more. Later De Andre’s three best friends taught him variety of martial arts. Afterward he trained himself to perform gymnastics. After graduation De Andre saw Jason in the park. Fortunately Jason forgot about the incident at the pool party. In the fall Jason had seen De Andre in the park again. Unfortunately Jason’s psyche was mentally attacked by demon (Leviticus son of Sins) that triggered the incident and his mutant powers. Jason transformed into his costume identity Flame. He attacked De Andre. Quickly De Andre changed into his costume identity Chill. Flame and Chill fought constantly in the park. Soul appeared and stopped the battle between them. Soul encouraged Chill and Flame to start a team of superheroes. At the end Chill and Flame became allies. Chill and Flame will create a team diversity of super heroes called Range.
