About the Author

David R. Harris was born in Salt Lake City Utah and moved shortly thereafter to California. He grew up in an area that was later to become known as Silicon Valley, the birthplace of the computer industry. In 1989 he moved to a small coastal town near Half Moon Bay CA. He has been employed in the trucking industry since 1973. He feels that having a seemingly mundane driving job has been benefi cial for the fact it has left his mind free for it’s own creative thoughts. In 2010 he wrote a poem for a friend’s 80th birthday. After that the words and rhymes just kept coming. An avid surfer since age 14, he has now become involved in new innovations in the stand up paddle board industry, and is currently starting production on some new types of boards, fi ns, and rudder systems. His poems are about life, love, passion, sense and non-sense.
