ZENMONDOTOKYO is a story about the hunt for a serial killer (The Rape Pig) who has claimed ten victims in the city of Tokyo over a period of eleven months. The Rape Pig is a super-villain whose sadism is exceeded only by his intelligence. He possesses an ability to manipulate biotechnology, computer code, and the media. By the time the story takes place the police are backed into a corner. Outwitted and publicly humiliated by the Rape Pig at every turn, they are forced to seek outside help. They think it comes from the FBI. That the FBI is sending them Angie - their top expert on serial murderers. According to cover, Angie has cracked twenty-three cases involving serial killers in the last seven years. She’s a crime-solving intelligence from the streets of LA with a guerilla fighter background and Zen focus. But there’s much more to her - on the real, she’s a top-of-the-line assassin for the CIA, sent to kill the Rape Pig for his possible terrorist connections. She’s been trained in martial arts and how to hack computers since she was eight. She has only one limitation – an incident with a serial killer cult in the LA post-war zone left her fully functional only in virtual reality. To deal in the corporeal world she needs to interface with the body of a host subject, so the Tokyo police have to provide one.

The task of finding an interface host falls to Captain Kaneda Takasaki. Takasaki is commanding, stylish, athletic – and completely inept. His only talents are looking good in front of the media and knowing who’s to kiss, what to kiss, and when. Takasaki’s gotten by on that so far, but when he comes up against the Rape Pig he’s seriously out of his depth. He finds himself forced into an uneasy partnership with Angie as the Tokyo police race against the clock to capture the Rape Pig before he claims his next victim. ZENMONDOTOKYO follows the unfolding chess game between Angie and the Rape Pig, juxtaposed against the chess game between Angie and her hosts, who don’t know her realtime mission is to take the Rape Pig out. The games play out through characters that include a drop—dead young police Lieutenant, the world’s next supermodel, and a child pornographer. All living in a world of genetically designed fashion, an underground city of the homeless, and advertising that targets the chemical receptors in your brain. The story culminates in a martial arts combat between Angie and the Rape Pig that goes down in both physical and d-reality, and sets up the next novel in the series: DEATH IS LOVE IS DEATH.
