About the Author

David Costa has been an educator for the past ten years. A 2002 Disney Teacher of the Year nominee and John S. Robinson Award winner, David is certified in both elementary and special education. Along with teaching first and second grade, David has taught in the graduate program at Simmons College, worked individually with students with learning disabilities, and has served on numerous educational committees. David is extremely grateful for the opportunity to publish What's the Difference? He hopes it will make a positive difference in many students' lives. David currently resides in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
