About the Book

The history of human beings has been wrought with cruelty and a complete disregard for the natural environment. Studies have shown that the core of our psyche drives us to push to extremes. The various established societies have relied on laws and religions as the most successful methods of curtailing undesirable behavior. Perhaps, there are other methods of channeling this energy. This book examines a rather brief history of the species and offers a glimpse of one possible future. Assuming that we humans can grasp the fact that sustainability or conservatism requires great change, it might be yet be possible to arrive at the gates of Civilization.

About the Author

Both Dr. Ealing and his wife are scientists. They live and work in Santa Barbara, California. Cord’s interest in science and engineering stems from his frequent childhood visits to his father’s chemistry laboratory, an early exposure to Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and Robert Heinlein, plus a fascination of what might have transpired at Roswell, New Mexico. Eric Cord Ealing is the Author’s pen-name, used to keep separate those documents presented to scientific publishers from those presented to a wider readership, such as this.
