About the Book

Joshua grew up in a poverty-stricken neighbour hood. He was constantly surrounded by negativity in his life. Along his journey, he encountered four young men. The four, Shabaz, Skeete, Romeo, and Smokey, played important roles in Joshua’s life, for they all came from similar situations. They attended school together and were supportive of each other during the trials and tribulation of life. They built an empire together and became the most wanted men the city has ever seen before……...

This book is about a young man’s journey towards self-improvement and better living conditions. His unfortunate situation made him strive for betterment in his life. As you read this book, you will understand why they built the empire, how they built it, and why Joshua left the life behind.

About the Author

Edomite Best was born in 1978, in the sweet island of Trinidad and Tobago. Studying poetry at a very young age, he developed a desire for writing. After graduating from college, he began travelling around the world searching for his destiny; eventually going to England to study nursing. He also worked on a very famous cruise line and met many different people from around the world. He suffered many hardships as a child, giving him the inspiration to write. These early experiences are reflected in his novel, most of it describes the reality of what is going on in the world today.
