“Sam’s Wish” is an eye-catching book for the pre-school set that contain a story and more. This book is geared for pre-school children ages 3 and up. The story is simple with comprehension questions. The intent of this book is to engage the child by focusing concentration, improving comprehension, stimulating thought and galvanizing imagination.

This book is intended for use in the pre-school classroom. The students can answer the questions, generate their own questions, act out the story or continue the story. It can just be read to the two and three year olds, but the older students can relate to the higher level activities.

Although the book is designed for classroom use, it can also be used in the home, and the setup in the book gives youngsters a chance to relate to their parents while discussing the story.


About the Author

Felipe A Cofreros is a highly educated individual. He held a number of diverse education positions such as consultant of Pre-school Program in Zoni Language Centers and Your Kids Our Kids Infant/Toddler Pre-school both in New York City, New York, USA He also work as a District Field Officer in the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor acting as a consultant for Literacy, Adult Education, After School Program, English as a School Language (ESL), Women In Development, Cooperatives for Rural Development, Small Business, Self Help, Livelihood Programs, Public lnfbrmation and Refugee Resettlement. His ten years experience as a columnist/editor-in-chief included a stint in the following significant papers: The United Nations Newsletter in Manufahi District in East Timor; The Philippines International Newspaper in Nagoya City, Japan and the Philippine Newspaper in Cambodia. As a teacher, Felipe spent twenty years of aggregate experience in teaching Literacy, Adult Education, Pre-school, Elementary, High school, College and including administration of instructional services among Indo-Chinese refugees (Vietnamese, Cambodian, Hmong and Laotian) in Southeast Asia refugee camp. Felipe’s vast experience as Curriculum Developer in Arts and Crafts Program in the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), Preparations for the American Secondary School (PASS) Program in the Philippine Refugee Processing Center; Saint Mary College in Nagoya City, Japan: University of Saint La Salle and La Consolacion College in Bacolod City, Philippines and Assumption Convent School in Iloilo City, Philippines greatly contributed to the creation of the following books that he wrote: A Handbook of Basic Art. Part I (Painting Process In Playing With Colors, Different Crayon Techniques), A Handbook of Basic Arts, Part II (Basic Drawing, Painting And Making Crafts) and Let’s Weave (An Ancient Hand Art Of Interlacing Two Groups Of Threads). He has also written an impressive number of Children’s Picture Books such as The Hungry Frog, Danny The Deer, The Blue Bird, Blue Birds Find New Friends, The Little Birds Help A Friend, Blue Birds And The Bees, The Boastful Rooster, Jackie’s New Toy, Smart Ratty, Fix It Tipsie, Oliver And His Ball, Oliver Lost His Ball, Sam’s Wish, Curious Sam, Sam And The little Bird, Sam And The Hawk; A Pre-school Math Workbook: Let’s Start Building Our Math Skills Workbook. Felipe graduated as scholar from the University Of San Agustin in Iloilo City, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with specialization in Social Studies and Art Education. He has Master of Arts Credit in Language and Literature Program, Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. He obtained quite a number of certificates in different disciplines such as: Managing People for Maximum Performance in Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA; The Roots of Learning; Society for Effective Affective Learning, Brighton, England: Basic Japanese Language Course and Japanese Sumie Art in Saint Mary College in Nagoya City, Japan and The New Role of Art in Education in the University of the Philippines in Iloilo City, Philippines
