About the Author
Author’s Biography John W. (Bill) Williams was born in 1939 in Hancock, Maryland. His higher education was received at Piedmont College, Emmanuel college (All in GA) and the University of Georgia. While earning his B.F.A. degree in English/drama, he divided his talent between the drama club, the literary society and the school paper. Mr. Williams grew up in the Blue Ridge Country of Virginia. During his childhood he lived with his grandparents. Mr. Williams has been published in a number of small press and literary journals. Eyes of Adventure, a collection of short stories for children, which he co-authored with Sylvia Sexton, was placed in the archives of Emmanuel College as well as in a few public libraries. In addition to this book, Mr. Williams has published three fiction and three poetry books. Mr. Williams has received awards in both poetry and short stories. In 1994, Mr. Williams was presented an award for recognition of outstanding service and dedication as an educator. Mr. Williams is a retired educator in language arts and children literature field; that was his profession. Mr. Williams now lives in Martin, Georgia. In addition to writing, he enjoys art, traveling, book collecting, and stage productions and occasional camping, biking and hiking.
