About the Book

A beautiful and talented young portrait artist leaves her security in the lower Hudson Valley and after much struggle, establishes herself in New York City. She finds her patron and her life´s love who unwittingly embroils her in the criminal activity of others.
This novel is about deep family love, about generosity, and kindness as well as the darker side of human nature. Set in the fifties, Alexandra finds herself uneasily caught in old ways and values and the newer freer ways of the emerging sixties.
