My parents, both avid readers passed on the love of books to me. I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't have a book to read.
My earliest ambitions were to become and artist, but after a while I had to realize different goals.
I married and raised two sons and once they were in school I went to work for the Los Angeles Times. Once I retired and my grandchildren came along, I found I could no longer deny my ambitions for art that now took the form of writing.
The inspiration for this book came from my grandchildren when they asked for another story after the lights were out.
