About the Author

Dr. Elmore D. Shoudy graduated from the University of Michigan in 1959. He trained in Flint, Michigan, before starting family practice in Port Huron. He is married, and has seven children. He has been active in youth programs such as baseball and hockey for many years. In 1973, he started the Port Huron Emergency Service to establish emergency care in Port Huron Hospital. He hired and directed physicians in a 24-hour coverage. He was involved in three disaster cases, established the Blue Water Hospice and was active in the development of medical care until 1993, when he retired.
