About the Book

This book of Poetry written over the last 40 years captures as best can be done the Poet’s life from toddler to eighty years old. It will serve as memoirs which are not written to this date. It is named, “Poet’s Palette” in keeping with the artistry of a Poet. As in most cases, some of my writings are reserved as Poet does not wish to tread where angels fear to go. Therefore, some writings are kept in order to protect Poet and others. In doing so, this book deals most exclusively depicting happenings in the Poet’s life. Also, my constant contact with Nature and the Love of it has given me much to observe and I capture that in much of my writings. As Emerson wrote: “There is a property in the horizon which no man has, but he whose eyes can integrate all the parts, that is the Poet!” “The lover of Nature is he whose inward and outward senses are truly adjusted to each other----In the presence of Nature a wild delight runs through the man in spite of real sorrows. The Poet pours out verses in every solitude—by and by he(she) says something which is original and beautiful!”(Unquote) The Poet wishes to express her thanks to all who have enjoyed and encouraged her writings, academic style or otherwise. However, the Poet loves most the flow of English language in normal everyday conversation and generally writes in that manner. Poet’s sole intention is to show that “All life is Poetry” and bears remembering well. How better, then, to accomplish that, than in Poetry’s emotions, which is all non-fiction as construed in “Poet’s Palette”. If you have my book I hope you find something in my writings to enjoy. Though my childhood was tough, the great Love I shared with Ben for 54 years balanced the scales of inequality and I am extremely grateful to those who care and share with me in widowhood. I have shared my Poetry, as can be noted in “Autobiography, Jenny Gale”, on the XLIBRIS Website.
