About the Book

Excerpt-1 It has been seven months since Pete's death. Why did it seem so strange when she found blue jeans, shirt, and underclothes in the hamper??? Had she just overlooked them, forgotten them, or did she keep them on purpose without doing them with the rest of the laundry? Her mind had been in a quandary, sure, but had she merely blocked these things out in grief over losing her husband, her lifelong lover? And the wet towel, why had it not dried some overnight, was it not from her shower the evening before, and why did she leave his Mennen lotion out on the vanity? Her dreams about Pete that had left her feeling physical release and contentment the next day, had it really been a dream, or was she just wishfully thinking, living a love over in her mind? Yet they seemed so real, he was back home, and in his arms she felt peace and tranquility. She must be careful! It is up to her to keep the children safe, but is there some supernatural power working in the dead of night to re-unite Elaine with Pete, her one and only love? In her dreams, did she, or does she all of a sudden have these vivid, satisfying dreams of her longings?

About the Author

Neil Greene, Junior Jobs were scarce or non-existent when Junior was born in the spring of 1935. Moving often was a rite of passage in the middle of the "depression." They called it 'Eviction' by the local sheriff when you couldn't pay the rent. Raised in Happy, Texas by his third set of foster parents, Junior spent many long hours milking and doing chores while trying to grow up. The cold Panhandle winters caused his harmonica to stick to his lips, resulting in some hot licks of a musical nature to break free. The Tule, Ceta Glen, and Palo Duro canyons still echo the noise his harp could create while blowing in the wind. He spent many happy hours climbing in and out of those “Inverted Mountains.” While he was in Del Mar Junior College in Corpus Christi, President Eisenhower asked Neil to go clean up the mess in Korea, so he spent two years doing that. Texas Tech at Lubbock followed and as a Journeyman carpenter Neil spent the next 51 years building schools, hospitals, and homes as well as the home and computer buildings for Michael Dell. He has a BS in Artificial Intelligence from the School of Hard Knocks. Neil now lives in edentulous ease Round Rock, Texas with his wife for the last forty-nine years, Jane. If we make it through December 31, it will be 50. Retirement gives him the opportunity to publish his books, write stories, poetry, and compose songs.
