About the Author

I grew up in a small town called Deer Park about 16 miles north of Spokane, Washington. Deer Lake was about 14 miles from Deer Park, and it became my summer home from the time I was a small child until I became a teenager. The friendships and memories forged while growing up there compelled me to write about it. With the help of dear friends, I put this book together so that others might remember a time when life seemed to flow as easily as the waves that washed into the shore of our Deer Lake.
