About the Author
About the Author, David Okerlund David is a highly successful professional speaker and communications coach. In his career, he has given over 2,500 speeches to over a million people. Twice, he finished in the final three of the World Championship of Public Speaking, a contest of over twenty thousand individuals from over twenty countries. He taught speech and debate at Oxford University in England and was asked to debate Patrick Buchanan at the prestigious Oxford University Debate Club. David is also a member of the International Hall of Fame for speakers and teaches a class in executive leadership at Cornell University every fall. In the last twenty years, David has had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest companies and organizations in America and abroad. He has presented numerous seminars and keynote addresses on subjects like change management, leadership skills, creativity, and sales and customer service topics. In 1998, David founded the Creative Communications Institute, an organization dedicated to assisting individuals and corporations with their communication needs. David works with corporate executives, political figures, and celebrity athletes to improve their speaking skills. His next book, The 7 Communication Traits of Dynamic Leaders in Leadership Roles, is scheduled to be released next year.
