About the Book

In The Willow Tree, you learned of the Harjo family. Now, some twenty years later, this is the story of the next generation. The wisdom of the Willow Tree theme that shadowed the characters in The Willow Tree continues in a similar vein in this family saga.

Attempting to overcome a life-changing accident, Willow, the teenager who finished the first story, steadfastly clings to her belief in Native American folklore. The Willow Tree becomes her mentor and confidant as it did her father Kai and Great Grandmother Niabi whose spirit appears to Willow as a fawn.

Kai’s much younger brother and sister Flight and Regina Fawn, whom we met only briefly in The Willow Tree, join Willow in the author’s focus on the younger generation.
