About the Book
Although their bodies had been technically destroyed in what at first appeared to be an accident, the two minds of Tom Brenton and his second wife, Mary, were both alive and well, residing in her comatose form. Standing guard against further attacks, Tom Brenton’s great-grandson, Sami took this opportunity to read the book he had discovered among his grandfather’s things. Periodically checking on the dual mentalities, he continued to read about how life was back then and wondered how his ancestors managed. Sami couldn’t imagine being locked up in your own mind and having to use such a primitive method of communication as voice. It was a wonder it hadn’t driven everyone insane.
About the Author
Stephen Flynn was born in Boston in 1944 and spent his early years known as Stephen Brin, under a large oak tree that stood over his home in South Attleboro, Massachusetts. He left high school to join the Navy, during which time he managed to complete his high school education. After serving four years in the Navy, mostly on a destroyer, he met his wife while the two were roller skating. About thirteen years into their marriage, which is now in its forty fourth year, he decided to return to the military service. Twenty years in the Air National Guard and ten years working for the State of Rhode Island at Rhode Island College, saw him retiring from both due to an injury. Msgt Flynn and his wife currently reside in Warwick, Rhode Island, in their small home near the water, where he enjoys digging soft shell clams, known locally as Steamers, mostly for exercise when he isn't writing, or repairing something for someone. An avid karaoke fan, Mr. Flynn also enjoys shooting pool, painting in oil and writing poetry.
