About the Book

The main plot of “Th e App le of Love” is based on a true story: During the Great Depression Harry and Emily had a fi ve year love affair as young adults that reignites sixty years later when Harry’s wife is in a nursing home. The drama unfolds through the eyes of an old man, his convalescent wife and their daughter, Marie. Marie uses her perception of what her parents experienced, her understanding of what they told her and her wild imagination to tell the story.

About the Author

Karen Knutson is retired and lives with her husband Mike by Lake Mille Lacs in Central Minnesota in the summer and in Ocala, Florida in the winter. Karen is the mother of three children. She graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in Business Administration/ Oral and Telecommunications.
