About the Book

The information herein was accumulated of fifty some odd years. The collection process started when TV first came out and continued until today. The books are in alphabetical order and cover shows from the 1940s to 2010. The author has added a brief explanation of each show and then listed all the characters, who played the roles and for the most part, the year or years the actor or actress played that role. Also included are most of the people who created the shows, the producers, directors, and the writers of the shows. These books are a great source of trivia information and for most of the older folk will bring back some very fond memories. I know a lot of times we think back and say, "Who was the guy that played such and such a role?" Enjoy!

About the Author

My name is Norman Chance and I am 72 years-old. When I was about 17, my mother created crossword puzzles for magazines and news papers. She got me interested in them and before I knew it I was doing every crossword puzzle I could find. When TV came out, a lot of the puzzle started having questions about TV shows. So I went out and bought a loose leaf note book and some paper for it and started watching every show I could and kept notes on who played what. The pages would get so full I would have to re-write them every so often. Finally the computer was made available and I was able convert all my notes to data bases. Then they came up with the VCR and I was able to tape a lot of shows. The TV Guide came along with several other magazines and I really got some notes. The next thing I knew, I had information on 1955 TV shows. I decided to put it all in book form and share with the world. In my life I have worked at everything from a brick layer to a computer engineer. I was married for 47 years when my wife passed away. I have three children and two daughters in law. I served my country for 3 years in the National Guard, 2 years in the Army Reserves and then 4 years in the Air Force. Now I’m retired and live alone with my German Shepard, 2 cats and a Cockatiel.
