The Safe Passage Series for Children“When Touching Hurts” is the fi rst book in the Safe Passage Series for Children. It educates children about inappropriate sexual touching. Stati sti cs indicate that children who are sexually abused are usually abused by people they know. This book gives parents an opportunity to teach children that no one should do anything to them sexually even if they know and love the person. It also teaches children the correct names for their private parts. It is important for parents to use the correct names when they talk to children about their private parts. The rules to use when touching other people teach children about boundaries. Boundaries are their personal space and provide guidelines that protect them and others. It is important for children to identi fy and use healthy boundaries with others. At the end of the book there are questi ons for further discussion. I hope this book opens the door for further discussions about inappropriate sexual behaviors. Look for more books from the Safe Passage Series for Children. About the Author

Caffee Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and a Certified Juvenile Sex Offender Counselor. Caffee is the owner of The Counseling Group, a mental health and substance abuse facility, in Augusta, Georgia. She has been employed in the field of counseling since 1998 and has been in private practice since 2002. Caffee provides individual, group, family and couple counseling. She also facilitates workshops and staff development trainings. Caffee resides in Augusta, Georgia with her husband Curtis. She is the mother of two adult daughters.
