About the Author

Sonny J. Akpan is a retired banker from Nigeria. He had his college education in the United States, with an MBA postgraduate degree in business management from East Texas State University, Texarkana (a tri-state city that borders Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana), Texas. He also holds associate and bachelor degrees in industrial chemistry from Kilgore and Wiley colleges in Texas, USA. Returning to Nigeria after his studies, he served as a graduate manager-trainee under his primary assignment of NYSC program at Guinness Brewing Company in Benin City, Edo State, and later worked briefly as a chemistry teacher at Federal Government Girls’ College, Akure, before joining the Universal Trust Bank of Nigeria as a banking supervisor where he worked for straight fifteen years before his retirement in 2005. To his credit, Sonny Akpan has written the following two books on marriage: How to Achieve Success in Marriage and Bringing Back Glamour into Marriage. His inspirations to write on these series came as a divine encounter five years ago as soon as he arrived in Chicago, USA, to visit his first son that worked for British Petroleum Company there. He’s been married for over thirty years to Vivian, his high school heartthrob and is blessed with four children and three grandchildren.
