About the Author

Rhonda Mock grew up in Indiana on a horse farm near Portland. She is divorced and enjoys the country life in rural Indiana. She and her daughter still have horses. It took 18 years for Rhonda to complete this book. She started it when she was pregnant with her only child in '93. She began it as a handwritten novel. Her mother gave her an electric typewriter to pound it out on. It was tedious and she didn't have time for it with a small baby girl to take care of. Her husband gave her a Brother word processor for Christmas, in hopes of lighting a fire under her to get it done. She transcribed it to the word processor when it was only half finished. She divorced and purchased a computer with her first tax check. She couldn't get the computer to recognize the disc from the word processor. So she started transcribing all over again. Finally, she finished the novel Chance of Desire on a laptop. Eighteen years had passed. Times change, we have to change with them...or be left behind.
